Another quick painting while I was in the mood this afternoon. This brought back memories of ridding my horse over Lead Mines Moss. One day when the mist came down and I couldn't see more than a few feet in front of me. The mist kept coming and going and what little wind there was just came and went in whispers. It was very spooky.
The Hawthorn Tree in Irish folk law is a gateway for the fairies and I remembered just a few lines of a poem that my farther use to recite when we were kids living in Accrington:-
Up the airy mountain
Down the rushy glen
We daren't go a-hunting
For fear of little men;
